The musée d’Orsay in the background hosts one of my favourite paintings, Starry night over the Rhone by Vincent van Gogh, and it is fair to say this image is inspired by van Gogh’s masterpiece.  The diaphragm of the 35mm summicron lens I used transformed the lights from the boat into starry patterns that would reflect on the waves.
